We have also had several of our commercial customers ask for the payroll cards. Employers recognize the value of paying their employers through electronic means. Payroll cards give them the opportunity to capitalize on that value even for employees who do not have a checking account.
We also plan to market the pre-paid cards through our Trust Department. Sometimes an individual who has inherited or been awarded a large sum of money isn’t capable of managing the funds. The cards will allow us to give these customers some financial independence, while still giving the trustee ability to oversee the individual’s financial activities.
